Shree V. M. Sakariya Mahila Arts College, Botad celebrated the International Yoga Day on 21st June 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and staff members.

The programme was graced by Shri Pravinbhai Kalathiya, District Yoga Coordinator, Botad, as the resource person. He delivered an informative session highlighting the significance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental well-being, and overall holistic health. He also conducted practical yoga sessions, including various
yogasanas and pranayama techniques, and guided the participants in performing them correctly.

A large number of students and staff members actively participated in the programme and benefited from the awareness and practical knowledge shared during the session.

The programme was organized by Dr. Rekhaba Parmar under the guidance of Dr. Parulben Satashiya, IQAC Coordinator, and the supervision of Dr. Kantilal B. Munjpara, In-charge Principal. The successful execution of the programme was supported by the dedicated efforts of Dr. Jagdish Khandra, NSS Coordinator (Arts Department), and Mr. G. B. Ramavat, NSS Coordinator (Commerce Department), who actively coordinated the programme arrangements, student participation, and overall management of the event.

At the conclusion of the programme, Shri Pravinbhai Kalathiya was felicitated with a memento as a token of appreciation for his valuable contribution. A vote of thanks was extended to the guest for his insightful guidance. On the occasion, Dr. K. B. Munjpara, In-charge Principal, addressed the participants and emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for achieving physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

The programme concluded successfully with a message promoting a healthy lifestyle through regular yoga practice.
